Ki Massage

What is Ki? Ki is the Japanese term for “life energy.” It’s the basic energy that underlines all Life, it keeps us alive, digests our food, grows our hair, and heals when we’re injured. We all have direct experience of this in our daily lives;, some days the level of life in us flows well, and we’re full of energy, happy, and able to cope with challenges that come our way. Other times we are run down and exhausted, feeling negative, with little energy to help us cope with the challenges presented in life. The problem is that tension, anxiety, stress, and the pressures of modern living combine to diminish the flow of the energy inside us. This causes the person to feel tense, rigid, almost “waiting for the next blow”.

Ki Massage is designed to break down this resistance so that the vital “energy” in the body is freed out and capable of flowing freely and so leaving the person happier, and able to live a better life.

This is where the therapist comes into “play”, the role of the therapist is to free this energy out, so in Ki Massage the whole process depends on the state of the “therapist”, where the therapist has the ability to overflow their energy and so support and encourage by touch the flow of the client. I have spent 30 years working with this process and I have studied and applied to learns, so as to be in the very best state possible to help others.

Ki Massage is designed to resolve stress in the body so as to encourage the person’s natural healing process through it’s holistic effects.
